Credentials and Teaching History

In my formative years of playing and coaching I have been fortunate enough to of been associated with many of the country's top teaching professionals and clinicians. They have all been influential and a positive influence on my teaching style and philosophy. My first lessons and earliest mentorship was  with former American touring professional Nancy Dillon. It was with Nancy that he learned basic principles of strokes, strategy and footwork. I credit USPTA Master Professional Alan Carvell as one of my most influential mentors. While working with Alan I learned the creative aspects of teaching as well as high percentage approaches to playing and teaching, visualization, and other effective methods of teaching tennis. While running junior and adult development programs at S.C.OR.E Tennis Club in Countryside Illinois I spent time working with former Italian Davis Cup Coach Jim Fannin. The S.C.O.R.E system incorporates a philosophy that when utilized both student and teacher achieve high levels of success which has been very influential in my coaching. I am a USPTA teaching professional, I have authored instructional articles for Tennis Magazine, and am a member of the Head-Penn Advisory staff.
